Pre-booking Procedure

1. Contact (Forming a Relationship)

Your SENDCo/Learning Support Manager makes contact by:

  • using the 'Contact' option on the website to send query/request or responding to an email
  • a further 'no obligation' email communication may take place to further discuss school requirements

2. Exchange of Information

Following the initial query/discussion, if you confirm a booking:


You will receive copies of my assessor's BPS Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) and DBS (Enhanced) update information. The school/college will also be issued with the assessor's Training/Level 7 qualification certificate (issued by Real Training). These documents will need holding on file within the examination centre for JCQ inspection purposes.  


Your Exams Officer/SENCO forward to us:

a) Details of the assessments and access arrangements required by your centre.

b) A copy of your centre policy document on the use of word processors if applicable (AA Regs (2023-2023) p.57).


For bookings:


A 'SKELETON' FORM 8, with Part 1 pre-populated/complete is required for all pupils/students (to be assessed).


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Relevant proposals/procedures/requirements (e.g. details of school day; allocation of an appropriate room for undertaking assessments; TA attachment to manage 'flow' of pupils/students for assessments; details of parking facilities) will also be required.

3. Confirmation/Scheduling of appointment/visit

Confirmation of appointment can be made once school/college representatives and Examinations Access Service are happy to proceed.

An appointment/visit will be confirmed and scheduled.

 'SKELETON' FORM 8 (PART 1 COMPLETE) for each student to be assessed can then be forwarded prior to the assessment. This can be undertaken either the day before or on the actual day of the assessments.
